Wow! It feels like I haven’t blogged in absolutely ages! It’s been one hell of a fast week don’t you all think? This time last week I was in sunny Mumbai recovering from the red carpet treatment! For those who aren’t sure what I mean, check out this link: http://bit.ly/gzQ56H 🙂 All will be revealed! I’ve got to admit, that night I had felt like one of the luckiest people in the world. It taught me that sometimes it really is just about being at the right place at the right time! It also made me think that someone up there likes me… either way I can’t even begin to describe my gratitude. I’m all about dreaming small but in a big way… it’s the small things which equal the big things for me. 😉
The days after my return have been, quite simply, pretty average! However, it’s made me want to go on holiday again but this time take a trip to somewhere recluse and calm so that I can REALLY chill out and empty my mind. Yes, I know some of you reading this will instantly know that for someone like me, an empty mind is an impossibility! I would agree with you to an extent but I would say it depends on your surroundings. I spent most of my days in Mumbai running around like a headless chicken… often to the same places everyday. It was only on the final day that I insisted on putting my feet up and admiring the view which I had overlooked the whole week… the view of the beach.
Although a true fiery Scorpion through my month of birth, the element of the sign is water. So I’m guessing my temper, my brutal honesty and my self-admitted jealousy are all attributes in keeping with the fiery side but to represent the water, there is one saying which effectively “says it all”: Still Waters Run Deep. As I sat and stared in the direction of the waves on my final day in my city of dreams, I somehow found myself getting all philosophical… an inevitability for me, some of you will agree! I can sit for hours just watching the sea… for the calmness of the water or even the vicious of the waves, it makes me feel at one with myself. Spending time with yourself is of utmost importance I feel and I think I would go mad without just being with “me”! 🙂
I went to see Yamla Pagla Deewana whilst out in Mumbai! I’ve never really been a big Deol fan in any generation, however, I had heard the film had had some good reviews and off we went. The movie was hugely entertaining in the second half more than the first and the 3 Deols were absolutely fab. I always seem to fall in love with “punjabi” stories and this didn’t disappoint. The music of the movie was also something which drew me in what with the Title track remix being on repeat from very early on. Chada De Rang is also an absolute gem of a song. As I said, it didn’t disappoint!
Out of the forthcoming within the next month or so, there are three films which I am particularly excited about: 7 Khoon Maaf, Tanu Weds Manu & Patiala House. The first of the three is the one I really can’t wait for… “Darrrrrrrrrrling… Aankhon Se Aankhen Chaar Karne Do” Lol! This song is pretty addictive don’t you think? I honestly feel that Priyanka Chopra was the ideal actress for this role and I really hope the movie does well. So far the first month of 2011 has seen a pretty good start in terms of Bollywood films and I hope these three I mention continue that roll! And will the Akshay Kumar bring Patiala House to London with a red carpet? Watch this space! 🙂
Well this is now me saying over and out…
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend whatever you’re upto!
Loadsa Love! xxx
