Many of those reading this will know that I’ve changed quite a bit in appearance in the last year and a half. I started my mission to be healthy and be actively conscious of what I was eating in March 2016. Anyone who knows me well will know how much discipline this would’ve taken, especially as I’m such a foodie! However, I was determined to do so and I’ve maintained it in the most part. In the last six months, I’ve not been as good as before and I am now aiming to do it all over again.
I am making this public almost as a promise to myself to make sure I stick to it. I’ve set myself a weight loss goal for six months from now and I couldn’t be more ready to achieve that. The last time I began this journey, I just wanted to become healthier and the weight loss was just a bonus. This time I want to actually lose weight and go back to that mindset with which I achieved so much previously. I didn’t allow myself to falter in the most part but allowed myself treats every now and then. This was my own compromise to myself because I love eating out so much!
So herein begins my journey to a slimmer and healthier me in six months time. For those who want to tell me that I don’t need to lose weight, I’d like to tell you you’re very sweet. However, I need to be at a certain weight for my height in order for my BMI to be at its ideal value. This is my mission for the next six months… and I think I need all the luck I can get with Christmas falling smack bang in between!
I’ll try my hardest to blog once every two weeks or so on my progress. I will aim to share recipes or ideas for low-carb and healthy amalgamations that I come up with which are sometimes tasty and worth repeating/sharing.
